About RankedChoice
A free, no-signup tool for running ranked choice polls with any group.
What is ranked choice voting?
Ranked choice voting (RCV), also called instant-runoff voting, lets voters rank candidates in order of preference instead of picking just one. If no candidate wins a majority of first-choice votes, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated and their ballots are redistributed to each voter's next choice. This repeats until one candidate has more than half of the remaining votes.
Compared to typical "pick one" voting, RCV reduces the impact of vote splitting between similar candidates and better reflects the group's overall preference. The winner is the option most people can actually live with, not just the one with the most first-place votes.
What RankedChoice does
RankedChoice makes it easy to create and manage ranked choice polls: set a title, add candidates, and share a link. Voters rank the candidates by dragging them into order, and results update live as ballots come in, including a round-by-round breakdown of who was eliminated and why.
There are no accounts to create. Anyone with the poll link can vote or help manage it, which keeps the tool lightweight and fast to use for casual group decisions, such as team lunches, event dates, project names, and more.
